This all-star band represents KSDS JAZZ 88.3, San Diego’s award winning jazz radio. All pros in their own right, each player works in their wide variety of musical settings.
Award-winning guitarist Ben Owens began playing guitar professionally in highschool. Ben’s debut album of solo guitarpieces has drawn fantastic reviews from top names in the guitar community. He has performed at music festivals in both Los Angeles and Nashville as well as at the prestigious “Lord of the Strings” concert series in Dana Point, CA—a series featuring the finest acoustic guitar talent on the modern scene.
Until you’ve seen it performed live, the music of Chapman Stick player Tom Greisgraber sounds too big to be real. There are acoustic guitar or piano-like moments, funk rock bass lines, ambient synth and soundscape textures, rock guitar leads, jazz solos and even small bits of percussion sometimes all happening simultaneously.
