About the Artist
worn[BUT NOT]forgotten is the brainchild of Las Vegas artist, Steven Makransky. With a background in sports, art and photography, he has combined those three elements to a create something different for the fan who has everything.
Vintage team t-shirts are folded, arranged perfectly and photographed up-close in fine detail & brilliant color as a piece of art. Each image captures sports past and present in a timeless fashion and classic design. Artfully done with an “old-school” touch, these pieces of vintage sports art are simply unlike anything else.
Steven is a native Philadelphian who, after graduating from Syracuse University in 1987 with a BFA in Advertising Design/Photography, spent 16 years on Madison Avenue in New York City in the advertising industry as an art director and creative director at Young & Rubicam and The Lord Group. After having won numerous creative awards including CLIO, One Show and ADDYs, he ventured west to Las Vegas in 2003 and found his true passion in 2007 – worn[BUT NOT]forgotten. Steven’s sports expertise, his creativity & sense of design and his exceptional photographic eye are on full display in each and every piece.
