SAN DIEGO — May 28, 2013 — Creating a personal living space with art and showcasing the investment in original artwork is the theme of a collaboration between the 27th Annual La Jolla Festival of the Arts™ (LJFA), June 22 to 23, and the San Diego Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).
During the Festival, interior design professionals of ASID San Diego will offer patrons guidance on how to display a fine art purchase in their home or office.
“We frequently hear our guests say how much they love a certain piece of art, but are unsure where to place it or what will look good with it,” said Ronn Rohe, festival marketing manager. “With ASID members at the Festival, guests will have access to expert advice in their art selection and placement.”
“ASID professionals are delighted to participate in the festival,” said Susanne Swenddal, ASID, event chair. “We hope these complimentary consultations will add to the festival guests’ enjoyment of and confidence in their art purchases. Showcasing art properly is an art in itself.”
LJFA runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets can be purchased online for $12 until June 21; $14 tickets at the door. Active duty military and children ages 16 years and under are free. Abundant free parking is available.
The San Diego chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers has more than 450 professional and allied members and is part of the largest organization of professional interior designers in the world. Professional membership is earned through accredited schooling, postgraduate testing and qualifying experience. ASID helps protect consumers by encouraging members to keep abreast of evolving technologies, regulations and safety issues.
